Getting to The Discovery Centre

Join us at AstraZeneca’s The Discovery Centre (DISC), on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Plan your journey by train, bus, bicycle or car.

Choose your route

Cambridge South station is beside the campus and close to DISC. Check your live route and any service changes before setting off.

🚆 By train

Arrive at Cambridge South

Cambridge South is on the western side of the Biomedical Campus, near The Discovery Centre. Follow the signs toward the campus and Francis Crick Avenue.

If your train calls at Cambridge but not Cambridge South, check a connecting train or a bus/taxi onward to the campus.

🚌 By bus

Travel to the Biomedical Campus

Use a service for Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Addenbrooke’s or the Guided Busway. The Green and Gardens stop serves the area near DISC; other campus stops may involve a longer walk.

Bus routes and timetables change, so plan your journey for the event day.

Use public parking or Park & Ride

There is no general visitor parking at The Discovery Centre. Public campus parking includes Addenbrooke’s Car Park 2; charges and availability may change. You can also consider a Cambridge Park & Ride and continue by bus.

Do not assume AstraZeneca staff parking is available to event guests.

🚲 On foot or by cycle

Follow campus walking routes

The campus has walking and cycling routes and public cycle parking at key entrances. Cambridge South is a convenient arrival point for the final walk to DISC.

On arrival
Follow signs to AstraZeneca’s The Discovery Centre rather than the hospital entrances. Bring your event booking details and follow the arrival instructions sent by the organiser. If you need step-free access or a drop-off arrangement, check the campus map and contact the event organiser in advance.
